Shaping the future of a young arboretum and plant collection

Joining our team at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, you will be a dedicated and professional nurseryman / propagator, with the ability to work with and grow a huge variety of plants from around the globe.

We are in the development stages of a new glasshouse and workshop complex. A modern facility ready for the 21. century with green credentials at its heart.

Working alongside the head gardener and the botanist, you will support us in ensuring the highest standard of maintenance and presentation of the collections across the gardens and present a safe and enjoyable environment to visitors, staff, students and volunteers. Additional training will be given in all aspects of propagation.

You will join a team of staff who are equally passionate about the plants they care for, as well as the wider environment within our Garden, which is one of the largest plant collections of the temperate northern hemisphere with 14 national collections and over 600 champion trees.
